Unlock PDF
Save a copy of a password-protected PDF that opens without the password, and without printing or copying restrictions. You need the password; your file and password stay on your device.
or drop it here
🔒 Your files stay on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
How to remove a PDF password
- Choose the PDF, or drag it onto the box above.
- Enter its password when asked. Files that only restrict printing or copying open without one.
- Download the unlocked copy. It opens anywhere without a password.
Only for files you're allowed to unlock
StaplePDF can't break or guess passwords: you need the one that opens the file. Only remove protection from documents you own or have permission to change. The unlocked copy has no protection at all, so store it as carefully as the original deserves.
Questions
Is my password sent anywhere?
No. The password is only used inside this page to open the file, and the file is never uploaded.
What if I've forgotten the password?
StaplePDF can't help with that: ask whoever sent you the file for the password or an unprotected copy.
